Human Synaptophysin ELISA

SYP (Synaptophysin) is a protein that is found in the synaptic vesicles of the brain. It is responsible for the release of neurotransmitters, and is used as a marker for neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease. SYP levels have been shown to be correlated with cognitive impairment and memory loss. Diseases associated with SYP include Intellectual Developmental Disorder, X-Linked 96 and Non-Syndromic X-Linked Intellectual Disability. Pathways associated with SYP include Synaptic Vesicle Pathway and Neural Stem Cells and Lineage-specific Markers.
