Description

Human TAAR2 ELISA Kit

Human TAAR2 ELISA kits are used to detect Trace Amine Associated Receptor 2 (TAAR2) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological samples. TAAR2, trace amine-associated receptor 2, also known as GPR58, is an orphan G protein-coupled receptor of the trace amine-associated receptor family. It is classed as an olfactory receptor specific for trace amines, which are enriched in animal body fluids and act on these receptors to elicit innate intraspecific and interspecific behaviours. Ligand binding causes a conformational change that triggers signalling through G proteins of the Gs class, which activate adenylate cyclase and raise cyclic AMP. Members of the family are expressed in the olfactory epithelium and, at lower levels, in the brain and some immune cells. Because trace amines also modulate monoaminergic neurotransmission, TAAR2 is studied in chemosensation and in neuropsychiatric research.
