Description

Human TACTILE ELISA Kit

Human TACTILE ELISA kits are used to detect T-Cell Activation Antigen, Increased Late Expression (TACTILE) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological samples. TACTILE, also known as CD96, is a transmembrane immunoglobulin-superfamily receptor expressed on T cells and natural killer cells, with levels that increase late after activation. It is thought to mediate adhesive interactions between activated T and NK cells and their targets in the late phase of an immune response, when the cells are engaging diseased cells and moving through inflamed tissue. It promotes NK cell adhesion to target cells by binding PVR, also known as CD155, a ligand shared with the activating receptor DNAM-1 and the inhibitory receptor TIGIT. Because of this, CD96 is studied as a possible immune checkpoint in tumour immunity, and variants in the gene have been associated with C syndrome.
