Description
Human TFEC Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human TFEC Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Glu125-Thr240, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 16.21 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Transcription factor EC is a ~38 kDa protein. Transcriptional regulator that acts as a repressor or an activator. For research use only.
Acts as a transcriptional repressor on minimal promoter containing element F (that includes an E-box sequence). Binds to element F in an E-box sequence-specific manner. Acts as a transcriptional transactivator on the proximal promoter region of the tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRAP) E-box containing promoter. Collaborates with MITF in target gene activation.
