Human TFPI Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Asp29-Phe209, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 23.23 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Tissue factor pathway inhibitor (TFPI) is a ~35 kDa protein. Inhibits factor X (X(a)) directly and, in a Xa-dependent way, inhibits VIIa/tissue factor activity, presumably by forming a quaternary Xa/LACI/VIIa/TF complex. For research use only.
It possesses an antithrombotic action and also the ability to associate with lipoproteins in plasma.
