Description
Human TMOD1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human TMOD1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Pro39-His138, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 13.44 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Tropomodulin-1 (TMOD1) is a ~40 kDa protein. Blocks the elongation and depolymerization of the actin filaments at the pointed end. For research use only.
The Tmod/TM complex contributes to the formation of the short actin protofilament, which in turn defines the geometry of the membrane skeleton. May play an important role in regulating the organization of actin filaments by preferentially binding to a specific tropomyosin isoform at its N-terminus.
