Human TMT1A Recombinant Protein (N-His)

Human TMT1A Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Lys33-Lys244, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 26.74 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Thiol S-methyltransferase TMT1A is a ~28 kDa protein. Thiol S-methyltransferase that catalyzes the transfer of a methyl group from S-adenosyl-L-methionine to alkyl and phenolic thiol-containing acceptor substrates. For research use only.

Together with TMT1B accounts for most of S-thiol methylation activity in the endoplasmic reticulum of hepatocytes. Able to methylate the N6 position of adenosine residues in long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs). May facilitate lncRNAs transfer into exosomes at the tumor-stroma interface. Promotes osteogenic and odontogenic differentiation by regulating the expression of genes involved in stem cell differentiation and survival.
