Human TNFAIP3 / TNF alpha-induced protein 3 ELISA

TNFAIP3 (TNF Alpha Induced Protein 3), also known as A20, is a protein which in humans is encoded by the TNFAIP3 gene. TNFAIP3 is a negative regulator of inflammation and its expression is increased by pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-alpha, IL-1 beta and IFN-gamma. The protein localizes to the cytoplasm and nucleus, where it functions as an E3 ubiquitin ligase that targets proteins for proteasomal degradation. A20 has been shown to be a key regulator of the inflammatory response. Mutations in the TNFAIP3 gene have been associated with autoinflammatory diseases such as familial Mediterranean fever and Sjögren's syndrome.
