Human TRIM29 Recombinant Protein (N-His-SUMO) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Gln181-Ser256, with an N-terminal His-SUMO tag. Predicted molecular weight: 21.16 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Tripartite motif-containing protein 29 (TRIM29) is a ~65 kDa protein. Mechanistically, TRIM29 interacts with IKBKG/NEMO in the lysosome where it induces its 'Lys-48' ubiquitination and subsequent degradation. In turn, the expression of type I interferons and the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines are inhibited. Additionally, induces the 'Lys-48' ubiquitination of STING1 in a similar way, leading to its degradation.
