Description
Human TRPC6 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human TRPC6 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Leu192, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 23.49 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Short transient receptor potential channel 6 (TRPC6) is a ~106 kDa protein. Forms a receptor-activated non-selective calcium permeant cation channel. For research use only.
Probably is operated by a phosphatidylinositol second messenger system activated by receptor tyrosine kinases or G-protein coupled receptors. Activated by diacylglycerol (DAG) in a membrane-delimited fashion, independently of protein kinase C. Does not seem to be activated by intracellular calcium store depletion.
