Description
Human TST Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human TST Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Val2-Ala297, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 35.59 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Thiosulfate sulfurtransferase (TST) is a ~33 kDa protein. Formation of iron-sulfur complexes, cyanide detoxification or modification of sulfur-containing enzymes. For research use only.
Other thiol compounds, besides cyanide, can act as sulfur ion acceptors. Also has weak mercaptopyruvate sulfurtransferase (MST) activity. Together with MRPL18, acts as a mitochondrial import factor for the cytosolic 5S rRNA. Only the nascent unfolded cytoplasmic form is able to bind to the 5S rRNA.
