Human UBE2V2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Asn145, with an N-terminal His tag. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 variant 2 is a ~16 kDa protein. Has no ubiquitin ligase activity on its own. For research use only.
The UBE2V2/UBE2N heterodimer catalyzes the synthesis of non-canonical poly-ubiquitin chains that are linked through 'Lys-63'. This type of poly-ubiquitination does not lead to protein degradation by the proteasome. Mediates transcriptional activation of target genes. Plays a role in the control of progress through the cell cycle and differentiation.
