Description
Human UCK2 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human UCK2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Phe21-His261, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 29.47 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Uridine-cytidine kinase 2 (UCK2) is a ~29 kDa protein. Phosphorylates uridine and cytidine to uridine monophosphate and cytidine monophosphate. For research use only.
Does not phosphorylate deoxyribonucleosides or purine ribonucleosides. Can use ATP or GTP as a phosphate donor. Can also phosphorylate cytidine and uridine nucleoside analogs such as 6-azauridine, 5-fluorouridine, 4-thiouridine, 5-bromouridine, N(4)-acetylcytidine, N(4)-benzoylcytidine, 5-fluorocytidine, 2-thiocytidine, 5-methylcytidine, and N(4)-anisoylcytidine.
