Description
Human UROD Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human UROD Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Asn367, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 42.95 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Uroporphyrinogen decarboxylase (UROD) is a ~40 kDa protein. Catalyzes the sequential decarboxylation of the four acetate side chains of uroporphyrinogen to form coproporphyrinogen and participates in the fifth step in the heme biosynthetic pathway. For research use only.
Isomer I or isomer III of uroporphyrinogen may serve as substrate, but only coproporphyrinogen III can ultimately be converted to heme. In vitro also decarboxylates pentacarboxylate porphyrinogen I.
