JEV NS5 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
JEV NS5 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Gly2532-Thr2791, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 31.72 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Genome polyprotein (NS5) is a ~380 kDa protein. Capsid protein C self-assembles to form an icosahedral capsid about 30 nm in diameter. For research use only.
The capsid encapsulates the genomic RNA (Probable). Plays a role in virus budding by binding to the cell membrane and gathering the viral RNA into a nucleocapsid that forms the core of a mature virus particle. During virus entry, may induce genome penetration into the host cytoplasm after hemifusion induced by the surface proteins. Can migrate to the cell nucleus where it modulates host functions.
