Description

LRT ELISA Kit

LRT ELISA kits are used to detect Liraglutide (LRT) in serum, plasma, cell lysates, cell culture supernatants and other biological samples. Liraglutide (LRT) is a synthetic analogue of glucagon-like peptide-1, sharing about 97 percent sequence identity with the natural hormone, but modified with a C16 fatty acid chain attached through a spacer, which promotes albumin binding and protects it from degradation by dipeptidyl peptidase-4. This gives it a half-life of around 13 hours, allowing once-daily injection. It activates the GLP-1 receptor to increase glucose-dependent insulin secretion, suppress glucagon, slow gastric emptying and reduce appetite. It is used for treating type 2 diabetes and obesity, and has been associated with reduced cardiovascular events in high-risk patients. LRT is therefore measured in pharmacokinetic and metabolic research, including drug monitoring and immunogenicity studies.
