Description
Mouse C5/Complement C5 Recombinant Protein (N-His-SUMO)
Mouse C5/Complement C5 Recombinant Protein (N-His-SUMO) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Asn679-Arg755, with an N-terminal His-SUMO tag. Predicted molecular weight: 21.23 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Complement C5 is a ~188 kDa protein. Precursor of the C5a anaphylatoxin and complement C5b components of the complement pathways, which consist in a cascade of proteins that leads to phagocytosis and breakdown of pathogens and signaling that strengthens the adaptive immune system. For research use only.
Activated downstream of classical, alternative, lectin and GZMK complement pathways.
