Mouse CAV1 Recombinant Protein (C-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Ser104, with a C-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 13.08 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Caveolin-1 is a ~20 kDa protein. May act as a scaffolding protein within caveolar membranes. For research use only.
Forms a stable heterooligomeric complex with CAV2 that targets to lipid rafts and drives caveolae formation. Mediates the recruitment of CAVIN proteins (CAVIN1/2/3/4) to the caveolae. Interacts directly with G-protein alpha subunits and can functionally regulate their activity. Involved in the costimulatory signal essential for T-cell receptor (TCR)-mediated T-cell activation.
