Description
Mouse CD121b/IL1R2 Recombinant Protein (C-His)
Mouse CD121b/IL1R2 Recombinant Protein (C-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in mammalian cells, spanning Met1-Glu355, with a C-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 40.45 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Interleukin-1 receptor type 2 (CD121b/IL1R2) is a ~45 kDa protein. Non-signaling receptor for IL1A, IL1B and IL1RN. For research use only.
Reduces IL1B activities. Serves as a decoy receptor by competitive binding to IL1B and preventing its binding to IL1R1. Also modulates cellular response through non-signaling association with IL1RAP after binding to IL1B. IL1R2 (membrane and secreted forms) preferentially binds IL1B and poorly IL1A and IL1RN.
