Description
Mouse CD38 Recombinant Protein (C-His)
Mouse CD38 Recombinant Protein (C-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in mammalian cells, spanning Leu45-Thr304, with a C-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 32.70 kDa. Purity: >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. ADP-ribosyl cyclase/cyclic ADP-ribose hydrolase 1 is a ~34 kDa protein. Multifunctional transmembrane glycoprotein able to exert enzymatic activities and also to mobilize calcium, to transduce signals, to adhere to hyaluronan and to other ligands. For research use only.
Synthesizes cyclic ADP-ribose (cADPR), a second messenger for glucose-induced insulin secretion. Synthesizes the Ca(2+) mobilizer nicotinate-adenine dinucleotide phosphate, NAADP(+), from 2'-phospho-cADPR and nicotinic acid, as well as from NADP(+) and nicotinic acid. At both pH 5.0 and pH 7.4 preferentially transforms 2'-phospho-cADPR into NAADP(+), while preferentially cleaving NADP(+) to cADPR and ADPRP rather than into NADDP(+). Has cADPR hydrolase activity.
