Description

Mouse CNR2 ELISA Kit

Mouse CNR2 ELISA kits are used to detect Cannabinoid Receptor 2, Macrophage (CNR2) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological samples. CNR2, or cannabinoid receptor 2, is a G protein-coupled receptor that binds the endocannabinoid 2-arachidonoylglycerol and mediates inhibition of adenylate cyclase through Gi/o proteins. In contrast to CB1, which is abundant in the brain, CB2 is expressed mainly in immune cells such as B cells, macrophages and microglia, and in the spleen and tonsils. It may function in the inflammatory response, nociceptive transmission and bone homeostasis, and activation of the receptor generally dampens immune cell activity and cytokine release. Expression of CNR2 may be increased in activated microglia, in neuroinflammation and in some tumours, so the receptor is studied as a target in chronic pain, inflammatory disease, osteoporosis and neurodegeneration.
