Mouse CPT1A Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ser170-Glu525, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 43.61 kDa. Carnitine O-palmitoyltransferase 1, liver isoform is a ~88 kDa protein. Catalyzes the transfer of the acyl group of long-chain fatty acid-CoA conjugates onto carnitine, an essential step for the mitochondrial uptake of long-chain fatty acids and their subsequent beta-oxidation in the mitochondrion.
