Mouse CTSG Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Mouse CTSG Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met35-Pro247, with an N-terminal His tag. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Cathepsin G is a ~29 kDa protein. Serine protease with trypsin- and chymotrypsin-like specificity. For research use only.
Also displays antibacterial activity against Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria independent of its protease activity. Prefers Phe and Tyr residues in the P1 position of substrates but also cleaves efficiently after Trp and Leu. Shows a preference for negatively charged amino acids in the P2' position and for aliphatic amino acids both upstream and downstream of the cleavage site. Required for recruitment and activation of platelets which is mediated by the F2RL3/PAR4 platelet receptor.
