Description
Mouse CTSK Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Mouse CTSK Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Thr82-Met329, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 29.53 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Cathepsin K (CTSK) is a ~36 kDa protein. Thiol protease involved in osteoclastic bone resorption. For research use only.
Displays potent endoprotease activity against fibrinogen at acid pH. May play an important role in extracellular matrix degradation. Involved in the release of thyroid hormone thyroxine (T4) by limited proteolysis of TG/thyroglobulin in the thyroid follicle lumen.
