Description

Mouse DPP9 ELISA Kit

Mouse DPP9 ELISA kits are used to detect Dipeptidyl Peptidase 9 (DPP9) in tissue homogenates and other biological samples. DPP9, or dipeptidyl peptidase 9, is a cytosolic serine protease of the DPP4 family that removes N-terminal dipeptides from proteins with proline or alanine at position 2. It is widely expressed, particularly in immune cells and epithelia. A major function is as a key brake on inflammasome activation, because it restrains caspase-1-dependent pyroptosis in resting monocytes and macrophages by preventing activation of NLRP1 and CARD8, and it sequesters the cleaved C-terminal fragments of these sensors in a ternary complex so that they cannot oligomerise. Variants in DPP9 have been associated with interstitial lung disease and fibrosis, and its inhibition triggers pyroptosis in some leukaemia cells, so it is studied in innate immunity and cancer.
