Description
Mouse EFNA1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Mouse EFNA1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Ser182, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 23.41 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Ephrin-A1 (EFNA1) is a ~23 kDa protein. Cell surface GPI-bound ligand for Eph receptors, a family of receptor tyrosine kinases which are crucial for migration, repulsion and adhesion during neuronal, vascular and epithelial development. For research use only.
Binds promiscuously Eph receptors residing on adjacent cells, leading to contact-dependent bidirectional signaling into neighboring cells. Involved in angiogenesis, regulating vascular endothelial cell differentiation and migration through activation of EPHA2. Acts as a ligand for EPHA3, inhibiting epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition of cardiac cells and playing a role in heart development. May also contribute to dendritic spine morphogenesis.
