Description
Mouse EFNB1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Mouse EFNB1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Asn31-Gly165, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 17.67 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Ephrin-B1 (EFNB1) is a ~37 kDa protein. Cell surface transmembrane ligand for Eph receptors, a family of receptor tyrosine kinases which are crucial for migration, repulsion and adhesion during neuronal, vascular and epithelial development. For research use only.
Binding to Eph receptors residing on adjacent cells leads to contact-dependent bidirectional signaling into neighboring cells. Shows high affinity for the receptor tyrosine kinase EPHB1/ELK. Can also bind EPHB2 and EPHB3. Binds to, and induces the collapse of, commissural axons/growth cones in vitro.
