Description
Mouse ERAP1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Mouse ERAP1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Glu45-Asp226, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 22.73 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Endoplasmic reticulum aminopeptidase 1 (ERAP1) is a ~106 kDa protein. Aminopeptidase that plays a central role in peptide trimming, a step required for the generation of most HLA class I-binding peptides. For research use only.
Peptide trimming is essential to customize longer precursor peptides to fit them to the correct length required for presentation on MHC class I molecules. Strongly prefers substrates 9-16 residues long. Rapidly degrades 13-mer to a 9-mer and then stops. Preferentially hydrolyzes the residue Leu and peptides with a hydrophobic C-terminus, while it has weak activity toward peptides with charged C-terminus.
