Description
Mouse ETFA Recombinant Protein (C-His)
Mouse ETFA Recombinant Protein (C-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Gln20-Lys333, with a C-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 34.04 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Electron transfer flavoprotein subunit alpha, mitochondrial (ETFA) is a ~35 kDa protein. Heterodimeric electron transfer flavoprotein that accepts electrons from several mitochondrial dehydrogenases, including acyl-CoA dehydrogenases, glutaryl-CoA and sarcosine dehydrogenase. For research use only.
It transfers the electrons to the main mitochondrial respiratory chain via ETF-ubiquinone oxidoreductase (ETF dehydrogenase). Required for normal mitochondrial fatty acid oxidation and normal amino acid metabolism.
