Description
Mouse FADD Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Mouse FADD Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Pro205, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 25.12 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. FAS-associated death domain protein (FADD) is a ~22 kDa protein. Apoptotic adapter molecule that recruits caspases CASP8 or CASP10 to the activated FAS/CD95 or TNFRSF1A/TNFR-1 receptors. For research use only.
The resulting aggregate called the death-inducing signaling complex (DISC) performs CASP8 proteolytic activation. Active CASP8 initiates the subsequent cascade of caspases mediating apoptosis. Involved in interferon-mediated antiviral immune response, playing a role in the positive regulation of interferon signaling.
