Description
Mouse FDX1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Mouse FDX1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Glu68-Ser188, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 15.65 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Adrenodoxin, mitochondrial is a ~20 kDa protein. Essential for the synthesis of various steroid hormones, participates in the reduction of mitochondrial cytochrome P450 for steroidogenesis. For research use only.
Transfers electrons from adrenodoxin reductase to CYP11A1, a cytochrome P450 that catalyzes cholesterol side-chain cleavage. Does not form a ternary complex with adrenodoxin reductase and CYP11A1 but shuttles between the two enzymes to transfer electrons.
