Mouse GALC Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Mouse GALC Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Phe486-Arg684, with an N-terminal His tag. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Galactocerebrosidase is a ~77 kDa protein. Hydrolyzes the galactose ester bonds of glycolipids such as galactosylceramide and galactosylsphingosine. For research use only.
Enzyme with very low activity responsible for the lysosomal catabolism of galactosylceramide, a major lipid in myelin, kidney and epithelial cells of small intestine and colon.
