Mouse HBEGF Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Mouse HBEGF Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Glu24-Thr161, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 17.61 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Proheparin-binding EGF-like growth factor is a ~22 kDa protein. Growth factor that mediates its effects via EGFR, ERBB2 and ERBB4. For research use only.
Required for normal cardiac valve formation and normal heart function. Promotes smooth muscle cell proliferation. May be involved in macrophage-mediated cellular proliferation. It is mitogenic for fibroblasts, but not endothelial cells.
