Description
Mouse IGFBP1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Mouse IGFBP1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Thr36-Asn272, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 28.05 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 1 is a ~29 kDa protein. Multifunctional protein that plays a critical role in regulating the availability of IGFs such as IGF1 and IGF2 to their receptors and thereby regulates IGF-mediated cellular processes including cell migration, proliferation, differentiation or apoptosis in a cell-type specific manner. For research use only.
Also plays a positive role in cell migration by interacting with integrin ITGA5:ITGB1 through its RGD motif. Mechanistically, binding to integrins leads to activation of focal adhesion kinase/PTK2 and stimulation of the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathway. Regulates cardiomyocyte apoptosis by suppressing HIF-1alpha/HIF1A ubiquitination and subsequent degradation.
