Mouse MFGE8 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Leu152-Cys463, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 37.45 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Lactadherin is a ~51 kDa protein. Contributes to phagocytic removal of apoptotic cells in many tissues. For research use only.
Specific ligand for the alpha-v/beta-3 and alpha-v/beta-5 receptors. Also binds to phosphatidylserine-enriched cell surfaces in a receptor-independent manner. Zona pellucida-binding protein which may play a role in gamete interaction. Plays an important role in the maintenance of intestinal epithelial homeostasis and the promotion of mucosal healing.
