Description
Mouse PDPN Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Mouse PDPN Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Gly23-Leu141, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 14.76 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Podoplanin is a ~18 kDa protein. Mediates effects on cell migration and adhesion through its different partners. For research use only.
During development plays a role in blood and lymphatic vessels separation by binding CLEC1B, triggering CLEC1B activation in platelets and leading to platelet activation and/or aggregation. Interaction with CD9, on the contrary, attenuates platelet aggregation and pulmonary metastasis induced by PDPN. Through MSN or EZR interaction promotes epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) leading to ERZ phosphorylation and triggering RHOA activation leading to cell migration increase and invasiveness.
