Mouse PPT1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Mouse PPT1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Asp28-Lys306, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 34.08 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Palmitoyl-protein thioesterase 1 (PPT1) is a ~34 kDa protein. Has thioesterase activity against fatty acid thioesters with 14 -18 carbons, including palmitoyl-CoA, S-palmitoyl-N-acetylcysteamine, and palmitoylated proteins. For research use only.
In contrast to PPT2, PPT1 can hydrolyze palmitoylated proteins and palmitoylcysteine.
