Mouse PRG4 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Mouse PRG4 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Asn783-Pro1054, with an N-terminal His tag. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Proteoglycan 4 is a ~115 kDa protein. Plays a role in boundary lubrication within articulating joints. For research use only.
Prevents protein deposition onto cartilage from synovial fluid by controlling adhesion-dependent synovial growth and inhibiting the adhesion of synovial cells to the cartilage surface.
