Description
Mouse PTGIS Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Mouse PTGIS Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Gly42-Leu501, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 54.80 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Prostacyclin synthase is a ~57 kDa protein. Catalyzes the biosynthesis and metabolism of eicosanoids. For research use only.
Catalyzes the isomerization of prostaglandin H2 to prostacyclin (= prostaglandin I2), a potent mediator of vasodilation and inhibitor of platelet aggregation. Additionally, displays dehydratase activity, toward hydroperoxyeicosatetraenoates (HPETEs), especially toward (15S)-hydroperoxy-(5Z,8Z,11Z,13E)-eicosatetraenoate (15(S)-HPETE).
