Description

Mouse S100A10 ELISA Kit

Mouse S100A10 ELISA kits are used to detect S100 Calcium Binding Protein A10 (S100A10) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological samples. S100A10, also called p11 or calpactin I light chain, is a member of the S100 protein family that is unusual because it has lost its ability to bind calcium and exists as a permanently active protein. It induces the dimerisation of annexin A2, forming a heterotetramer that is thought to act as a regulator of protein phosphorylation, since the annexin A2 monomer is a preferred target of tyrosine-specific kinases in vitro. This complex is found at the cell surface, where it promotes plasminogen activation and fibrinolysis, and in the cytoplasm, where it links to membrane trafficking. Its expression is altered in depression and by antidepressant treatment. It is also studied in cancer, because it supports invasion and metastasis.
