Mouse SERPIND1 Recombinant Protein (C-His)
Mouse SERPIND1 Recombinant Protein (C-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in mammalian cells, spanning Glu24-Ser478, with a C-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 54.94 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Heparin cofactor 2 is a ~54 kDa protein. Thrombin inhibitor activated by the glycosaminoglycans, heparin or dermatan sulfate. For research use only.
In the presence of the latter, HC-II becomes the predominant thrombin inhibitor in place of antithrombin III (AT). Also inhibits chymotrypsin, but in a glycosaminoglycan-independent manner.
