Mouse SFTPA1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Leu103-Phe248, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 18.66 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Pulmonary surfactant-associated protein A is a ~26 kDa protein. In presence of calcium ions, it binds to surfactant phospholipids and contributes to lower the surface tension at the air-liquid interface in the alveoli of the mammalian lung and is essential for normal respiration.
