Mouse SMAD9 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning His235-Met419, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 23.40 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. SMAD family member 9 is a ~48 kDa protein. Transcriptional modulator activated by BMP (bone morphogenetic proteins) type 1 receptor kinase. For research use only.
SMAD9 is a receptor-regulated SMAD (R-SMAD). Has been shown to be activated by activin type I receptor-like kinases (ALK-2, ALK-3, ALK-6) which stimulate heteromerization between SMAD9 and SMAD4. May play a role in osteoblast differentiation and maturation.
