Mouse SOAT2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Gln2-Phe119, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 15.83 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Plays a role in lipoprotein assembly and dietary cholesterol absorption. Utilizes oleoyl-CoA ((9Z)-octadecenoyl-CoA) and linolenoyl-CoA ((9Z,12Z,15Z)-octadecatrienoyl-CoA) as substrates. May provide cholesteryl esters for lipoprotein secretion from hepatocytes and intestinal mucosa.
