Description
Mouse SPON2 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Mouse SPON2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ala40-Leu243, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 24.94 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Spondin-2 (SPON2) is a ~35 kDa protein. Cell adhesion protein that promotes adhesion and outgrowth of hippocampal embryonic neurons. For research use only.
Binds directly to bacteria and their components and functions as an opsonin for macrophage phagocytosis of bacteria. Binds bacterial lipopolysaccharide. Essential in the initiation of the innate immune response and represents a unique pattern-recognition molecule in the ECM for microbial pathogens.
