Description
Mouse TH Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Mouse TH Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Lys170-Arg454, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 34.94 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Tyrosine 3-monooxygenase (TH) is a ~55 kDa protein. Catalyzes the conversion of L-tyrosine to L-dihydroxyphenylalanine (L-Dopa), the rate-limiting step in the biosynthesis of catecholamines, dopamine, noradrenaline, and adrenaline. For research use only.
Uses tetrahydrobiopterin and molecular oxygen to convert tyrosine to L-Dopa. In addition to tyrosine, is able to catalyze the hydroxylation of phenylalanine and tryptophan with lower specificity. Positively regulates the regression of retinal hyaloid vessels during postnatal development.
