Mouse VEGFB Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Val36-Lys127, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 12.54 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Vascular endothelial growth factor B is a ~21 kDa protein. Growth factor for endothelial cells. For research use only.
VEGF-B167 binds heparin and neuropilin-1 whereas the binding to neuropilin-1 of VEGF-B186 is regulated by proteolysis. VEGF-B seems to be required for normal heart function in adult but is not required for proper development of the cardiovascular system either during development or for angiogenesis in adults.
