Description
Native Monkey ALB/Albumin Protein
Native Monkey ALB/Albumin Protein is a native protein, spanning Full length.. Predicted molecular weight: 68 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied as a liquid in 0.01M PBS pH 7.4. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Albumin is a ~67 kDa protein. Binds water, Ca(2+), Na(+), K(+), fatty acids, hormones, bilirubin and drugs. For research use only.
Its main function is the regulation of the colloidal osmotic pressure of blood. Major zinc transporter in plasma, typically binds about 80% of all plasma zinc. Major calcium and magnesium transporter in plasma, binds approximately 45% of circulating calcium and magnesium in plasma. Potentially has more than two calcium-binding sites and might additionally bind calcium in a non-specific manner.
