PE (R-Phycoerythrin) is a phycobiliprotein purified from a species of red algae. It has an (αβ)6γ subunit structure. PE (R-Phycoerythrin) is supplied in 100 mM potassium phosphate buffer, pH 7.0 with 60% saturated (NH4)2SO4, 1 mM EDTA and 1 mM sodium azide.

Mix PE (R-Phycoerythrin) thoroughly until no precipitate is observed to obtain a homogeneous solution. Further remove all remaining ammonium sulfate and perform buffer exchange to the conjugation buffer.
