The Phospho-HSL-S660 Polyclonal Antibody (CABP0853) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. Lipe, also known as hormone-sensitive lipase, is involved in the breakdown of stored fats in the body and is a key player in lipid metabolism. This antibody, generated in rabbits, specifically recognizes the phosphorylated form of Lipe at Serine 660. It has been validated for use in Western blot applications and is highly reactive with human samples. By targeting the phosphorylated form of Lipe, researchers can gain insights into the regulation of lipid metabolism and its implications in various diseases such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disorders.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse samples.

The protein encoded by this gene has a long and a short form, generated by use of alternative translational start codons. The long form is expressed in steroidogenic tissues such as testis, where it converts cholesteryl esters to free cholesterol for steroid hormone production. The short form is expressed in adipose tissue, among others, where it hydrolyzes stored triglycerides to free fatty acids.
